Compact Laminate is made by compressing and heating sheets of kraft paper impregnated with phenolic resins. This Laminate core is covered with a decorative sheet and a transparent overlay to give the desired color and pattern. This process results in a durable material with a matte finish.
Compact Laminate is very resistant to damage from impacts or stains, including indelible inks. Most stains clean up with the use of warm soapy water or common, non-abrasive cleaners.
Standard compact has a fire rating of class B/2. Class A/1 compact is available as an upgrade option.
Most colors and designs available in Plastic Laminate are also available in Compact Laminate.
